Common Questions
Everything You Want to Know
No. The Haven is specifically designed to be self-supporting. It will be financed through bond issuance in the traditional bond marketplace — not through the regular giving of Eastside Church. Any initial startup funds provided by the church will be fully repaid once bond financing is secured.
The Haven is intended to serve the broader Marietta/East Cobb community, with particular sensitivity toward Eastside Church members and their families. Specific admissions policies will be developed as the project advances.
The Haven will offer three levels of care: Independent Living (craftsman-style homes on campus), Assisted Living (studio and two-bedroom suites), and Memory Care (a specialized neighborhood for residents with Alzheimer's and dementia).
The current plan is for approximately 112 total units across all three care levels. This includes 4 residential duplexes and 1 quadraplex for independent living, plus an assisted living and memory care building — all situated on our 22.92-acre campus.
The Haven will be located on the western side of our campus, along Little Road — adjacent to the existing church buildings and planned future facilities. The independent living duplexes will line a residential loop off the main drive.
Yes. A separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation will be incorporated specifically to finance, own, and operate The Haven. This keeps the facility financially and legally distinct from Eastside Church's operations — protecting both entities.
Eastside Church's campus master plan spans 2025–2044. The Haven is the current near-term initiative within that larger vision — actively in the planning and approvals phase. The immediate next steps are government/zoning approvals and bond financing. Groundbreaking will follow.
The most important thing you can do right now is pray. Ask God for His leadership, direction, and blessing on this vision. Then stay informed — sign up for updates so you hear about every milestone. When the time comes, there will also be opportunities to give and volunteer.
